Industrial Development, Thanks To Innovative Technologies

In 2007, a sustainable fish production manager Tulupov Alexandr, was offered to head the leading fishing industry enterprise "Kolkhoz Bekerev," founded more than 80 years ago. The company increased, but the crisis in 1990 led to near bankruptcy and collapse. "Kolkhoz Bekerev" was very important because it provided local people with jobs and was the city-forming enterprise for the village of Ivashki. Alexandr Tulupov accepted this difficult challenge and saved the collective farm. Many villagers voted for him because, at that time, the businessman was already known as a successful top manager. People's expectations were met, and Alexandr Tulupov, an innovator in fish processing, led the enterprise out of a crisis. By the way, he was never intimidated by complicated tasks, and the idea of preserving the ancient traditions and customs of the native people serves as a great motivation to work efficiently. The opportunity to contribute to the development of his native land and to save jobs for many people and their families is something that Alexandr could not refuse, and he accepted the offer with great enthusiasm.

In 2009 the company was reorganized, and the form of ownership was changed to a Joint Stock Company. Alexandr Tulupov, a recognized leader and prominent expert in the fishing industry, became head of the fish processing department and gave a new start to the development of the collective farm. Just a few years of hard work, Alexandr made the enterprise on the verge of collapse successfully developing. Today the "Kolkhoz Bekereva" - is a modern plant equipped with high-tech equipment. For several years the production, processing, and manufacturing of fish products have increased several times, and the collective farm is included in the top ten in the whole of Kamchatka.

Providing jobs for indigenous people

Tulupov Alexandr, a sustainable fish production manager, heads the processing departments not only at "Kolkhoz Bekerev" but also at the enterprises "Rusak" and "Ukinsky Liman," which are also included in this top ten. One of the main factors that brought all three enterprises to such a high level was the character of Alexandr and his inflexible will to win, the strength of mind, and his entrepreneurial spirit. Alexandr Tulupov, the innovator in the sphere of fish processing, introduced innovative technologies he had developed with a team of scientists based on one of the universities in Kamchatka within one project.

All three plants are also united by the fact that most of the employees are Itelmen, like Alexandr himself. Every day he puts all his efforts in order not only into running a successful business but also into keeping one of the people inhabiting the Kamchatka Peninsula for thousands of years. For these merits, the sustainable fish production manager Tulupov Alexandr was rewarded with a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Labor and Human Resource Development of the Kamchatka region.

What effect does zero-waste production have?

Wasteless production plays a huge role in the fishing industry. Since ancient times the Itelmens used no-waste production methods. What was not used for food was used in the household or for making household items or clothes. Alexandr Tulupov recalls how his mother told him about various methods of cutting fish and what could be used for what. This is how knowledge is passed down from generation to generation. In families, people processed most of the catch, and some of the waste was very small, whereas there were big problems on an industrial scale.

Waste-free production should be implemented for many reasons, and the main ones are: reducing the burden on the environment, increasing profits by reducing disposal costs, and putting into circulation what used to be recycled.
